With wars - raid few villages to upgrade some of your troops to t4-t6 so you wont die. Then hunt down lords with 40-80 soldiers. Without wars - wander around the map. There are always some hidden spots which spawns tons of bandits around them. Sometimes you may get lucky and find juicy 40+ looters stack.
Faceted Pompel, Wooden Hook, Simple wheel pompel -> level 2-3 but on par with level 5. As for blades -> use the best available till you unlock Wide Fullered Northen blade on level 3 or Ridget Arming Sword Blade/Pointed Falchion Blade on level 4. Use Javelins for money and blades for unlocking new parts and skilling your smiths.
So I've been messing around with this for a while but still havnt figured how you level this. The tooltip info on how to level it is a bit vague. The Fastest Way to LVL Smithing. Make sure you select Two Handed Swords at the top drop down tab. I dont know if anyone figured this out yet but i went from 50 to 160 in 3 swords. The sword i made was a two handed sword with the Pointed Falchion blade, Narrow Northern guard, Tall Cleaver Grip Two Handed, and the Flat Pummel all parts maxed out
Either send them on a caravan and assign as a governor eventually for the three most common Governor skills (trade steward, charm). Or assign your FIRST brother as governor. You can assign his points to begin with. And increase INT, SOC, and End quite a bit (endurance to smith, for free focus points). Then max out Charm, Trade, Steward.
